How It Works
Six Minimum Requirements, More Than 70 Data Points
The standard evaluates policies, amenities, access and the guest experience, and every assessed hotel is graded from A+ to F. Underneath the grade sit six minimum requirements. A hotel that meets all six carries the designation Meets the Roch Dog Friendly Standard. A hotel that misses any one of them is capped at C, whatever else it offers.
Certification is free, no hotel can opt out, and no payment of any kind moves a grade. Hotels are reassessed, so a grade can rise and it can fall. The full standard is published at rochstandard.com.

We Ask What A Guest Asks
We Score What Your Guests Actually Experience
Most hotels are assessed by anonymous guest enquiry, the way a guest with a dog would ask, and every answer is scored against documented criteria. The same criteria apply in all 56 countries we assess in.
A graded assessment replaces the phone call guests make because they no longer trust the label. Nothing we sell moves a grade: a hotel that hires us can still be graded C, and a hotel that never speaks to us is still assessed.
